The Supreme Court on Monday directed its registry to issue notice to the Centre on the lawsuit filed by the West Bengal government alleging that the CBI is going ahead with investigation without securing consent from the state under the law. The Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government has alleged that despite the withdrawal of the state’s pre-requisite nod, the CBI is violating the federal structure of governance by registering an FIR. Therefore, the original suit filed by the state under Article 131 of the Constitution should be heard expeditiously.More Related News
