Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata enjoyed a great opening at the global box office. Not just in India but the film recorded massive collection in the US as well. However, the commercial entertainer slowed down on the second day of its release. According to trade reports, the film is struggling to attract viewers to theatres. Sarkaru Vaari Paata released in cinemas on May 12 in multiple languages. The film was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Mahesh Babu-starrer received mixed reviews from the critics and audience. According to the official Twitter handle of Andhra Box Office, the film had an ordinary second day after a stupendous collection on Day 1. On its first day, the film collected Rs 12.24 crore in Nizam. Their post read, "#SarkaruVaariPaata Nizam 1st Day Creates Non-RRR Record with Rs 12.24 Cr Share! (including all) (sic)."
