'Sar tann se juda’: Ghaziabad lawyer gets death threat for supporting Nupur Sharma

A Ghaziabad-based lawyer received a death threat for supporting expelled BJP leader Nupur Sharma and Kanhaiya Lal, a Hindu tailor killed in Udaipur. A letter outside his house read ‘sar tan se juda’ and threatened him with dire consequences.
A Ghaziabad-based lawyer received a death threat for supporting expelled BJP leader Nupur Sharma and Kanhaiya Lal, a Hindu tailor who was murdered by two men over a social media post in support of Nupur Sharma. A letter was put up outside his house which read ‘sar tan se juda’, threatening him with beheading and dire consequences.
The lawyer, named Satendra Bhati, is a resident of Tronica city in Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh.
The threat letter contained abusive language and threatened the lawyer with the same consequences faced by Kanhaiya Lal. A black cross was also painted on the outside wall of the lawyer's house.

Recently, the lawyer had taken part in a candle march organised to protest against Kanhaiya Lal's murder.
A case has been registered by the police and the investigation is underway.
On June 28, Kanhaiya Lal was murdered by two men in Udaipur. The two men chopped his head off and later recorded a video admitting to killing the man over a social media post in support of Nupur Sharma, who was recently in the news for her controversial statements about the Prophet Muhammad.
