Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said that PM Narendra Modi's meeting with chief ministers on Wednesday was just a monologue and he only criticised the CMs of non-BJP states over rising fuel prices.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday, April 28, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for raising the topic of fuel price rise at a meeting, "meant for Covid discussions", with chief ministers on Wednesday.

Raut said: “The meeting was supposed to be on Covid situation, but the track was completely changed. This matter has been mentioned by Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee as well as Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. The Chief Ministers of non-BJP states were just criticised. The PM had different approaches for the CMs of BJP-ruled and those of the non-BJP states.” "The 'meeting' was a one-sided monologue. The talks on fuel prices weren’t needed at all," he added.

Raut, who’s been critical of the BJP, said that the Sena would soon be holding a rally in Mumbai on April 30.

Speaking about Navneet Rana and her alleged financial link with the underworld, Sanjay Raut said that the Enforcement Directorate's inaction and the BJP's silence had been noticed by the people. “BJP has shown pictures of Sharad Pawar with Yusuf Lakadawala. But the real question is whom did he have a financial transaction with," he said.

"BJP doesn’t have answers hence they are showing pictures. Why hasn’t the ED summoned those who’ve had a financial deals with him — a person who was arrested in a Rs 200-crore money laundering scam. In today's age, anybody can get himself clicked with any leader at any function.” Raut said.
