
Samriddhi Yatra: Nitish Kumar launches projects worth ₹781 crore

Nitish Kumar launches ₹781 crore development projects in Bihar, emphasizing inclusive growth and job creation for youth.
Ahead of the Rajya Sabha shift, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday (March 11, 2026) inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of different projects worth ₹781 crore in Araria and Kishanganj district during his last leg of Samriddhi Yatra in Bihar.
While addressing the public meeting, Mr. Kumar focused on the work he has done for the development of Bihar in the last 20 years.
Mr. Kumar inaugurated 60 projects worth ₹157 crore and laid the foundation stone for six projects worth ₹331 crore, and initiated work on two projects worth ₹58 crore in Araria.
In Kishanganj, Mr. Kumar inaugurated 49 projects worth ₹102 crore and laide the foundation stone of 73 projects worth ₹133 crore.
He also reviewed various projects in both districts and directed the officials to expedite the work. The Chief Minister sought information from officials about the implementation of various schemes announced during the Pragati Yatra in 2024-2025.
Mr. Kumar asked the officials to implement the schemes with sensitivity so that Bihar can be included in the category of the most developed States in the country.
