Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav meets senior leader Azam Khan in Delhi, inquires about latter's health

Chief of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav reached Delhi on Friday to find out about senior party leader Azam Khan's condition.
Khan was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital for the last three days. After being discharged on Friday, Khan stayed at UP Sadan's official residence in Delhi.
According to sources, Akhilesh also extended an invitation to Khan to attend the state convention on September 28 and the national convention on September 29, where he may be re-elected as the national president of the Samajwadi Party.
Yadav's father Mulayam Singh Yadav may also attend the conference.
Akhilesh was given the command of the party for the first time in 2017.
Tension prevailed between Akhilesh Yadav and Khan, who went to jail for his involvement in a land-grabbing case. Many of Khan's supporters had said that Akhilesh Yadav was not keen on Khan's release. However, Yadav has paid several visits to Khan, who has been unwell and has made several rounds of hospital.
