Samajwadi Party, AAP allege scam in land deal by Ram mandir trust: All you need to know

The Samajwadi Party (SP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have alleged corruption in the acquisition of the piece of land by the Ram mandir trust in March this year. 

A controversy has erupted over the purchase of a piece of land by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, set up by the Centre last year following a Supreme Court order, in Ayodhya. The allegations assume political significance as Uttar Pradesh is slated to go to the assembly polls in February-March next year.
