
Samagra Shiksha Scheme 2.0 approved by cabinet with Rs 2.9 crore financial outlay

The union cabinet has approved the continuation of the Samagra Shiksha Scheme with a financial outlay of almost Rs 3 crore. The new version of the scheme covers 1.16 million schools, over 156 million students, and 5.7 million teachers of government and aided schools.
The union cabinet has approved the continuation of the Samagra Shiksha scheme for school education till March 31, 2026.The revised scheme with a period of five years from 2021-2022to 2025-26 with a total financial outlay of Rs 2,94,283.04 crore. The financial outlay includes a central share of Rs. 1,85,398.32 crore.
Meta has hired the team behind the agentic AI startup Dreamer.
