Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Lilavati Hospital under the observation of experts. The doctor, in a press statement, claimed that he is currently stable.
Veteran screenwriter and actor Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on early Tuesday morning, according to an official statement issued by his doctor.
Dr Jalil Parkar confirmed that Salim Khan was brought to the hospital’s emergency department around 8:30 am by the family’s physician, Dr Sandeep Chopra. Immediate medical care was administered before he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A team of specialists, including neurologist Dr Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, and Dr Bineet Ahluwalia, attended to him.
In his statement, Dr Parkar said that Salim Khan is currently stable but remains under close observation to monitor his clinical condition. Respecting the family’s request for privacy, the hospital has refrained from sharing further medical details at this time.
The doctor added that a formal press bulletin will be issued at 11 am on Wednesday with due consent from the family, while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Soon after the news of the hospitalisation was out, Salman, along with his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, were photographed by paparazzi outside the hospital premises.
Salim Khan is regarded as one of the most influential screenwriters in the history of Hindi cinema. As one half of the legendary screenwriting duo Salim–Javed, alongside Javed Akhtar, he transformed mainstream Bollywood storytelling in the 1970s.
