Sai Prasad to assume charge as new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday

G. Sai Prasad will become Andhra Pradesh's new Chief Secretary on February 28, succeeding K. Vijayanand.
Senior IAS officer G. Sai Prasad will assume charge as Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday (February 28) at the State Secretariat in Amaravati. He will take over the responsibilities at 11.33 a.m., as per official orders issued by the State government.
The government, through G.O. Rt. No. 2230 dated November 29, had extended the tenure of incumbent Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand for three months until February 28. In the same order, it appointed Mr. Sai Prasad, who is currently serving as Special Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, and Ex-Officio Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, as the next Chief Secretary.
He has also headed major power utilities, including AP Transco and AP CPDCL, and served as Vice-Chairman of the AP Housing Board. At the Centre, he worked as Joint Secretary in the Union Ministry of Power. He later served as Secretary and Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, CMD of AP Solar Power Corporation, CCLA, and Special Chief Secretary, Water Resources.
