'Saawan' devotees stay away as Simaria ghat in Bihar's Begusarai completely submerged

Thousands of devotees, who generally fill the Simaria ghat in Bihar's Begusarai district during the ongoing auspicious month of Saawan, have stayed away as the riverbank remains completely submerged.

Simaria ghat in Bihar's Begusarai district has been completely submerged for the last two weeks. Thousands of devotees, who generally throng the riverbank during the ongoing month of 'Saawan' for the auspicious 'Ganga snan', have stayed away due to the flood. Even though the flood situation in Bihar has eased in few districts with the water level in Ganga going down to some extent, the Samaria ghat's situation is causing agony to people.
