Russia-Ukraine war news update: Amid rising tensions between Ukraine and Russia, India Today reported from inside a bunker to show what it's like for people hiding there in Kyiv.
Ukraine remains in the middle of chaos ever since Russia declared war on the country. Loud air raid sirens, explosions and missile attacks by Russian troops have triggered fear among Ukraine citizens. In this situation, people have rushed to metro stations and bomb shelters to save themselves from regular attacks by Russia.
Amid rising tensions, India Today reported from inside a bunker to show what it's like for people hiding there in Kyiv.
A bomb shelter was constructed underneath a residential house in Kyiv. As the camera panned across a room, a large bottle of drinking water was seen placed in a corner with a few glasses beside it.

There were mats and some packed food as well. In a hall across, there were planks set up one over the other for people to sleep. However, there is lack of connectivity inside the room.

The India Today reporter said there was a different smell of something burning. "It's the smell of something burnt from the strike," she said.

Oil and gas refineries and hubs are up in flames not just in the Middle East, but also in Russia and the US. Crude oil prices have surged over $100 a barrel. Speaking at the White House, Trump said the United States was in contact with "the right people" in Iran and suggested that Tehran was eager to reach an agreement to halt hostilities. "We're in negotiations right now," he told reporters, without offering further details on the scope or format of the talks.
