Rushikonda Beach regains Blue Flag certification with comprehensive action plan for further development and enhancement.
The Rushikonda Beach has regained its Blue Flag certification, according to a release here on Saturday.
Officials from Blue Flag India have announced the lifting of the temporary suspension imposed on the beach.
Shrijit Kurup, national operator of Blue Flag India, and Ajai Saxena, jury member, formally handed over the Blue Flag to Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad on Saturday.
Following the achievement, based on the set of recommendations, a comprehensive action plan on certain aspects such as security, education, communication, environmental management, traffic management, solid waste management and grey water management will be formulated to further enhance the beach’s development and implemented in a time- bound manner.
The administration has set up a coordination mechanism to implement the plan, the release added.

Over the years, this clever play on words has titled vehicles that have either been rescued from the scrap yard or sponsored or auctioned or all of the above.
