RRR actor Jr NTR says 'would love to work in a proper Hindi film'. He even listed Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Leela Bhansali as two of his favourite Bollywood directors.
SS Rajamouli's RRR is destroying all existing box office records to create new ones every single day. Just today, March 30, the Jr NTR and Ram Charan-starrer surpassed Baahubali's lifetime collection. RRR has also successfully left behind Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi and Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files. And in all this, Indian cinema emerges as the true winner. So, just like how Prabhas transitioned to pan-India star status after the mammoth success of the Baahubali series, does Jr NTR have any such plans? Turns out, the South Superstar is extremely keen on working in a 'proper Hindi movie'. Well, what are Bollywood directors waiting for?
Jr NTR is winning hearts and breaking records with his latest release, RRR. The SS Rajamouli directorial venture, co-starring Ram Charana, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, among others, has whooshed past big money earners like Baahubali, The Kashmir Files, Sooryavanshi and more, to secure the top spot. Clearly, RRR's impact is nationwide, worldwide, actually. So, it was only natural to ask Jr NTR if he ever plans to star in a Bollywood film. The RRR star said, "I would love to work in a proper Hindi film. The languages are different but the core emotion and drama never changes." We wonder if Bollywood directors are reading this. When asked about his preferred choice of directors, the RRR actor said, "There are many but I like Rajkumar Hirani sir's films. He made films that put us in front of a mirror. I like Sanjay Leela Bansali films also. There are strong characters. The way he makes films, his extra glorious, big canvas films. I like his films too."
Now, after Prabhas's successful move into Bollywood and Ram Charan's tryst with Hindi cinema with Zanjeer, starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead, is it finally time to make way for Jr NTR?
