RRR box office collection Day 16: Jr NTR, Ram Charan film crosses Rs 1,000 crore worldwide

RRR has achieved another milestone as it crossed the Rs 1000-crore club worldwide! Ram Charan-Jr NTR's film has become the third Indian film to mint Rs 1,000 crore.

The most talked-about film, RRR, has achieved yet another milestone now. Helmed by SS Rajamouli and starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the leading roles, RRR tells the story of two Indian revolutionaries Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaram Raju respectively. On Day 16, the film crossed the prestigious Rs 1000-crore club at the box office worlwide. It has become the third Indian film to do so after Rajamouli's period epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Aamir Khan's sports drama Dangal.

RRR, which was made on a huge budget, hit the theatres on March 25 in record number of screens across the globe. It is an epic war drama set in the pre-Independence era. RRR has been on a record-breaking spree ever since it released. Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan on his Twitter account on Saturday, April 9, wrote, "#RRRMovie enters the PRESTIGIOUS1,000 cr club (sic)." In another tweet, he mentioned the three Indian films in the Rs 1,000-crore club as he tweeted, "1000 cr+ club Indian movies. #Dangal, #Baahubali2, #RRR (sic)."
