After having a mixed stint with Delhi Capitals, Shimron Hetmyer seems to be enjoying his time at Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022. The big-hitting West Indies batter, who has coloured his hair pink flaunting his love for the franchise, is the ultimate team man, if Jos Buttler's words are anything to go by.
On Monday, April 18, when Jos Buttler was sending rockets into the night sky at the Braboune Stadium, Shimron Hetmyer had the best seat in the house -- the non-striker's end. Buttler got his 2nd hundred of the ongoing IPL 2022 season, this time in just 59 balls as Rajasthan Royals posted the highest total of the season - 217. Buttler hit 9 boundaries and 5 sixes as he tore into the KKR attack.
Hetmyer and Buttler shared only a 19-run stand but it was during that 3rd wicket partnership that Buttler completed the hundred.
As Buttler took off his helmet and acknowledged the applause from the Brabourne Stadium crowd and the Royals dug-out, Hetmyer, at the other end, raised his hands and celebrated the special moment along with the England star. Hetmyer and Buttler shared a hug at the middle as the West Indies star was delighted for his teammate.
