Ricky Gervais’ longtime partner Jane Fallon revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

In a March 23 Instagram post, the British novelist and TV producer said she received her diagnosis a month prior, adding that it's "very early stage thankfully & the prognosis is excellent."

Showing no symptoms, Fallon said a radiographer spotted "something iffy" during a routine mammogram before Christmas, prompting further testing and a biopsy. Additional mammograms, biopsies and an MRI scan allowed her medical team to diagnose her.

"It’s been a lot, I’m not going to lie. But, my surgery is scheduled for the week after next and I just want to get it over with now," she wrote. "I’m getting incredible care and all will be fine but I’m not engaging with much beyond audiobooks & jigsaws tbh."

She shared a selfie of herself with text that reads "Bit of News" and "(No One Panic)." She also shared pictures of a stuffed bear dressed as a doctor and her tabby cat Pickle in a nurse's wardrobe, quipping, "Dr. Eric on duty. Nurse Pickle wondering when lunch is."
