
Reliance Jio to partner with smartphone companies for Jio Exclusive smartphones ahead of JioPhone Next launch

According to an online report, Reliance is signing reverse handset bundling partnerships with companies including Vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, HMD Global and iTel, among others, for Jio SIM-locked phones.
Reliance Industries will tie-up with offline stores to offer Jio-SIM locked or JioPhone Exclusive devices ahead of the JioPhone Next launch. Reliance is signing reverse handset bundling partnerships with companies including Vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, HMD Global and iTel, among others, for Jio SIM-locked phones, sources told ET Telecom. As part of its new strategy Reliance is tying up with offline retailers to install its Jio Mini point devices. According to the report, only those devices can offer handsets with Jio lock-in, which offer special discounts and various other bundled services.
