India Today
During the early testing phase, Reddit talk will be available to moderators for which they have to join a waitlist. Reddit noted that the audio-only conversations will enable moderators to start talks for Q&As, AMAs, lectures, sports-radio-style discussions, and community feedback sessions.
Reddit has started working on its own version of an audio-only platform called Reddit Talk. The social media platform has opened invitations for moderators to join the initial waitlist, and once Reddit Talks is officially launched, the moderators will get access to the platform. The audio-only conversations will enable users or Redditors to start talks for Q&As, AMAs, lectures, sports-radio-style discussions, community feedback sessions, or as a simple hangout place for community members. Like in the case of Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces, initially only moderators will be able to host conversations on Reddit too. However, any Android or iOS user can join these conversations. “During early tests, only moderators will be able to start talks, but any Redditor on iOS and Android can listen in. After these early tests, we'll work with moderators to let other trusted community members host talks as well,” the company noted in a blog post.
