Realme Q5 Pro set to launch on April 20: What to expect

Realme Q5 Pro set to launch on April 20: What to expect

One of the teasers has confirmed that the upcoming Realme Q5 Pro smartphone will come with a typical 5,000mAh battery under the hood.

Realme has scheduled yet another smartphone launch for April. We recently witnessed a few phone launches in India and it is now all set to unveil a new Realme Q5 Pro device in China. The launch will take place on April 20. Ahead of the launch, the company has also teased key features as well as the design of the upcoming premium phone.

One of the teasers has confirmed that the Realme Q5 Pro will come with a typical 5,000mAh battery under the hood. The company has also provided support for 80W fast charging. This will be the second smartphone with an 80W charge, after the launch of the Realme GT Neo 3, which is confirmed to launch in India soon.

The teaser image also shows that the device will pack a triple rear camera setup that is accompanied by an LED flash. The back seems to have a Rubiks cube-kind of design. Realme is taking a risk by offering a slightly different design and that too in a flashy yellow colour. Thankfully, there is no Dare to Leap logo on the rear panel and the company has decided to only include the brand name.

On the front, there is a typical punch-hole display design that houses the selfie camera. The device doesn’t seem to have a 3.5mm headphone jack, as per the teasers. This is not at all surprising, as the company has ditched the audio jack on both the Realme GT Neo 3 and Realme GT 2 smartphones. So, the same could also happen with the new Realme Q5 Pro smartphone.

The rest of the details are unknown. The alleged phone has been spotted on Geekbench, which suggests that the Realme Q5 Pro could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset that one will also find inside the OnePlus 9R, Mi 11X, and more. It running on Android 12 operating system, as per the listing. The previous leaks have suggested that the upcoming Realme Q5 Pro could be equipped with a standard 6.62-inch screen that will likely operate at Full HD+ resolution.

At the moment, it is unknown whether the Realme Q5 Pro will also be launched in other markets. The brand is currently offering the Q series only in China and it has announced a few phones under Narzo series in the Indian market. Though, the Realme Q5 Pro isn’t expected to fall in the Narzo series. There are chances that the brand could launch it in the future in any other line-up. But, users are advised to take this with a pinch of salt as this is just speculation.
