Realme Pad X India launch teased, here is how much it may cost
India Today
The Realme Pad X is the company’s first premium tablet, almost capable of taking on the recently launched Xiaomi Pad 5.
Realme Pad X was unveiled in China earlier this week. It is the company’s most premium tablet yet, which means it makes sense for Realme to bring it to other markets. Realme has now hinted that the Indian launch of the Realme Pad X is imminent. Madhav Sheth, Realme India CEO, shared a photo of Realme Pad X on Twitter, asking his followers if they “want it to be launched in India as well.”
Sheth said 300 retweets of this post will mean the Realme Pad X will come to India. Unsurprisingly, the post was retweeted over 450 times. That is a clear indication the launch is happening, but we do not know when and that is something only time will tell. For now, Sheth’s announcement is limited to confirming the launch in India and that the Star Grey colourway of the Realme Pad X is headed to India. The other two variants, Sea Salt Blue and Bright Chessboard Green are also likely to make it to the Indian market.
The Realme Pad X is the company’s first premium tablet, almost capable of taking on the recently launched Xiaomi Pad 5. It is not exactly a high-end tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, but it is more powerful than everything Realme has launched in the tablet market so far. That also means the price of the Realme Pad X is more than Realme’s tablets launched before.
In China, the Realme Pad X starts at CNY 1,299, which is roughly Rs 15,000. But this projection may not work for Realme in India. That is because of the additional costs that Realme will add to the price if it imports the Realme Pad X to India. Also, the Realme Pad, which is the company’s vanilla model, starts at Rs 13,999 in India, while its top-end variant costs Rs 17,999. That should mean the Realme Pad X’s India price may not be equivalent to the converted price.
The Realme Pad X comes with an 11-inch LCD with a 2K resolution, a peak brightness of 450 nits, support for DC dimming, and a TUV Rheinland blue light filter. The screen supports stylus input with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. There are quad speakers on the Realme Pad X and they are tuned by Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
Powering the Realme Pad X is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This tablet comes only in a WiFi version. The new tablet runs new Realme UI 3.0 for Pad. The front camera on the Realme Pad X comes with a field of view of 105 degrees, while on the back, there is a 13-megapixel main camera. The Realme Pad X comes with an 8340mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
