Realme unveiled the Realme C31 in Indonesia earlier this week as its brand-new budget smartphone with features such as a triple-camera setup and a 5000mAh battery.
Realme C31 is set for launch in India on March 31. The Realme C31 was launched originally in Indonesia earlier this week as the company’s latest budget phone that comes with specifications such as a 5000mAh battery and a triple camera setup on the back. The Realme C31 will be the successor to the Realme C21 and its arrival in India is going to happen after a few days from the Realme C35 launch.
On its website, Realme has unveiled the features and specifications of the Realme C31 phone. It said that C31 comes with a “Dynamic Texture Design”, which essentially refers to the pattern on the phone’s back. The Realme C31 will be 8.4mm thin despite having a 5000mAh battery. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the power button on the right side. Realme has touted that the display of the Realme C31 will give a smooth experience when gaming or scrolling, while the brightness will be enough to make content visible on the screen in bright daylight.
The Realme C31 was launched in Indonesia a day before, so we are aware of the specifications. The new Realme phone comes with a 6.5-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution but with a 60Hz refresh rate. That means animations and scrolling on the screen would not be very smooth, contrary to Realme’s claims. But there is support for a 120Hz touch sampling rate that will appeal to gamers. The phone has a screen aspect ratio of 88.7 per cent, which means the bezels are thick.
Realme’s upcoming C31 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T612 processor, which is based on the 12nm process. This is a low-end processor, which means it is suitable for light tasks. The Realme C31 comes with 3GB and 4GB RAM options, while, for storage, you get variants with 32GB or 64GB. In case you need more storage, the Realme C31 supports expandability of up to 1TB.
The Realme C31 has three cameras on the back. There is a 13-megapixel main camera, a macro camera, and a black-and-white camera all aligned in the same manner as the cameras on the Realme C35. There is a 5-megapixel camera inside the waterdrop-style notch meant for selfies and video calls.
The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery, which is likely to last a day easily, but support for only 10W charging would need you to leave it for at least two hours to charge fully. The Realme C31 runs on Realme UI R Edition software, which is based on Android 11. You get Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual-SIM, dual-standby 4G LTE as connectivity options. For charging and media transfer, there is a USB-C port on the Realme C31 and the 3.5mm headphone jack is also present.
Realme launched the C31 for IDR 1,599,00 in Indonesia. This price translates to roughly Rs 8,500 in India, which sounds about right for the Realme C31 in India. It comes in Dark Green and Light Silver colours.
