Real Madrid will be without their German midfielder Toni Kroos for their must-win La Liga game against Villarreal on Saturday after testing positive for Covid-19. The defending champions need nothing less than a win in their final league game as they are involved in a two-way title race with Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid said Toni Kroos returned a positive test for Covid-19 on Monday, having missed their win over Athletic Club on Saturday. The club said Kroos had come into direct contact with someone who contracted the virus. Kroos has been a key member of Zinedine Zidane's Real squad this term, scoring three goals in 42 games in all competitions. "Real Madrid C.
