Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda now married; second ceremony in evening

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda got married in a traditional Andhra wedding ceremony on Thursday morning. The couple will perform another ceremony to honour the bride's family.

Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda got married in a traditional Andhra wedding at around 8 am on Thursday (February 26). The ceremony was witnessed by their family members, close friends and a few members of the Telugu film industry. The couple will have another ceremony later today to honour Rashmika's Kodava traditions.

After dating for nearly seven years, Rashmika and Vijay are now wife and husband. Throughout their dating phase, the couple remained tight-lipped about their relationship status even as rumours made headlines often.

Rashmika and Vijay's pre-wedding festivities commenced on February 24 with the Virosh Premiere League. It was reported that Vijay's team won the match while Rashmika's team won the musical chair. Following the game session was a colourful sangeet, which featured performances from the bride, groom and a surprise performance by the groom's mother, Madhavi. India Today learnt that Madhavi gifted heirloom bangles as a mark of acceptance to Rashmika.

On February 25, the couple had their haldi and mehndi ceremonies with their family members. Rashmika and Vijay shared some colourful glimpses of the ceremony. Take a look:

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda met each other during the filming of Geetha Govindam. What began as a slow-burn romance eventually transformed into a solid relationship that was built on comradeship, love and mutual respect. The two also joined hands for the second time in Dear Comrade, a project that is close to their hearts.

Now, after a gap of six years, they will be back on the big screen together in director Rahul Sankrityan's Ranabaali, which is scheduled to release in September.
