Deepika Padukone has been garnering praises for her latest film Gehraiyaan. The actress is presently shooting for her forthcoming film, Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The makers recently announced the release date, along with a 1 minute and 5-second teaser that went viral.
Deepika has previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham, respectively. However, Pathaan marks their first collaboration together. While most details of the film are kept under wraps, the actress’s better-half, Ranveer Singh gave an update on the film.
During an Instagram Live, Ranveer Singh spilt the beans on wife Deepika Padukone collaborating with ace choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant for the very first time for Pathaan. Interestingly, Ranveer started his career with Vaibhavi Merchant 10 years ago with the song Tarkeebein from Band Baaja Baaraat. He was quoted saying, "She is in Mallorca shooting a very glamorous song for Pathaan. I think Vaibhavi (Merchant) ma'am is shooting the song. So, she is now with Deepika in Spain and this is the first time they are collaborating on a project. I've heard the song. It's amazing.”
The 36-year-old actor went on to say, “Deepika looks super fit and super glamorous. Shaleena (Nathani) is styling her. I have seen a sneak peek and it looks like 'aag lag jayegi' screen pe (She will set the screen on fire)." He also gushed over the fact that he has already listened to the song. He said, "It's exciting because I have the privilege of being her husband so she gives me a sneak peek of how she's looking. My God, you guys will have to wait for it man. She's just scorching it.”
What looks like it, from songs to action sequences, Pathaan will be a mammoth project! It will release on January 25, 2022, in theatres in three languages - Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
