Actor-couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone made a public appearance in Mumbai to support her father, Prakash Padukone. The outing came amid increasing security around their home after a threatening extortion message to the Dhurandhar star.
Actor-couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were seen out and about in Mumbai this week in a show of support to the latter’s father and badminton icon Prakash Padukone. Their appearance followed heightened security measures outside their residence after an extortion threat was received by the Dhurandhar actor.
The couple attended the event at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, along with Ranveer's mother, Anju Bhavnani. Several photos of the couple from the outing are now going viral across social media platforms.
The event, titled 'Beyond Winning: What Sports Cultivate in Children', saw Prakash Padukone participate in a panel session that focused on youth development through sports.
In the photos, the couple is seen seated in the audience along with their family. Ranveer was seen applauding, while Deepika smiled warmly as the panel addressed questions from attendees. Deepika later joined her father on stage alongside other dignitaries and guests, including Sonam Kapoor.
For the event, the 40-year-old was dressed in a white ethnic ensemble. The Dhurandhar actor complimented her look by opting for a black trouser suit paired with a white T-shirt and blazer.
The family’s composed appearance at the event came as authorities continued their investigation into the threat made towards Ranveer.
