Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is one of the most awaited films. The Ayan Mukerji-directorial finally releases on September 9. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni, SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and others were present at the pre-release event of Brahmastra in Hyderabad on September 2. The main event scheduled to happen at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad was cancelled at the last minute and the venue for the press event was shifted to a hotel. Director Ayan Mukerji could not be a part of the event since he was completing a little work that was left on the film. The highlight of the event was when Ranbir Kapoor spoke in Telugu and impressed the Hyderabadi press and media who graced the meet.

Ranbir Kapoor spoke in Telugu about how Brahmastra is the biggest film of his career. The actor also said that he will improve his Telugu by the time the next part of Brahmastra releases. Fans on social media found his Telugu diction very smooth and Ranbir Kapoor fans tweeted about how the actor is a quick learner. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt made a worried face. Brahmastra is a superhero drama that revolves around a simpleton who shares a special bond with fire. It features Alia Bhatt as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor. The cast includes Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo in the movie, and reportedly, so does Deepika Padukone. Brahmastra is slated to open in theatres on September 9.

The storyline of Brahmastra follows Shiva, a DJ, who learns about his strange connection with the element of fire.
