Raju Srivastava health update: Comedian suffered brain damage after heart attack, still on ventilator

Comedian Raju Srivastava suffered severe brain damage after a heart attack on August 10. According to the doctors, there has been no improvement in his condition and is still on ventilator at AIIMS Delhi.

Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack while working out at the gym on Wednesday, August 10. According to the latest health update, the comedian also suffered severe brain damage. He has not regained consciousness ever since he suffered a cardiac arrest. Raju Srivastava was working out on the treadmill when he experienced chest pain and collapsed. He was brought to AIIMS Delhi by his trainer and was given CPR twice to resuscitate his heart.

The latest health update on Raju Srivastava mentions that the comedian is still unconscious. He hasn't regained consciousness after suffering a heart attack. According to his doctors, he is slowly recovering. During the cardiac arrest, Raju Srivastava also suffered immense brain damage. He continues to be in a critical condition and is still on ventilator support. His condition has neither improved nor declined.

Raju Srivastava is currently being treated by the AIIMS team of Cardiology and Emergency department led by Dr Nitish Nyay. As per AIIMS sources, Srivastava suffered a cardiac arrest while working out in the gym and was brought to the hospital by his trainer. The comedian was given CPR twice to resuscitate his heart. He has revived and is currently at AIIMS under observation.

Raju Srivastava's brother-in-law, Ashish Srivastava, confirmed the news. He said, "Kanpur-based comedian, Raju Srivastava, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Film Board, had a heart attack while going to the gym. He was staying in Delhi to meet some of the big leaders of the state. He went to the gym in the morning and then went to another gym that day. During the same time, he got a heart attack. He has been admitted to AIIMS. But he is back under control. After 5 minutes, the doctors allowed the relatives to meet his grandfather. Only after meeting him, they will be able to give rest of the information."

Raju Srivastava is a popular comedian who has been a part of several comedy shows. Srivastas was a part of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Circus, The Kapil Sharma Show, Shaktimaan and others. The comedian also featured in Bollywood films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab, Baazigar and more. He was recently seen as a special guest on India's Laughter Champion.
