Quiz held to deepen Constitutional awareness among students

Students from Shri Ram Centennial School won a nationwide Constitution Quiz aimed at enhancing constitutional awareness among youth.

C. Subramaniam, former Minister for food and agriculture, turned his residential lawn overnight into a farmland to prove that the Mexican variety of a crop could be grown in India.

This move became an important chapter in a significant movement that India witnessed later. Any guesses what the crop was and which is the movement being referred to? 

Wheat and green revolution. 

Here is another one. Who were the first parliamentarian couple in India? If you do not know the answer, here is a clue. Former Indian President K.R. Narayanan was the couple’s nephew. 

The answer is Dakshayani and Raman Velayudhan. In fact, Dakshayani Velayudhan was the only Dalit woman to be elected to the Constituent assembly.

These were some of the many questions asked at the grand finale of the first edition of the nationwide Constitution Quiz held by #ReclaimConstitution, a citizens’ collective, with the aim of deepening Constitutional awareness among students.
