Indian wolf at Pilikula zoo gives birth to seven pups

Indian wolf Geetha at Pilikula zoo gives birth to seven healthy pups, marking a first in captivity at the park.

Seven pups of an Indian wolf, named Geetha, born at Pilikula Biological Park this January have now been let in the display enclosure, according to the park.

Of the pups, four are males and three are females. This is the first time that an Indian wolf under captivity had given birth to pups at the park, a release from the park said on Wednesday.

The pups and mother are healthy. It is an important milestone in the park, it said.
