Join Alva’s Samskrutika Vaibhava on March 21 in Mangaluru for a vibrant cultural showcase featuring over 500 student-artists.
The Alva’s Nudisiri-Virasat unit of Mangaluru will organise a cultural extravaganza, Alva’s Samskrutika Vaibhava, on Saturday in Mangaluru.
Alva’s Education Foundation chairman M. Mohan Alva told reporters here on Wednesday that the programme, dedicated to the late N. Vinay Hegde, would be organised at the Karavali Utsava Grounds in Lalbagh from 6.15 p.m. There would be a formal function for 45 minutes to be attended by Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Capt. Brijesh Chowta and MLA for Mangaluru City South D. Vedavyasa Kamath, after which the cultural programmes would begin.
Over 500 student-artists of the foundation would present various Indian art forms, including Yoga Deepika, Nrutya-Lakshmi classical dance, Badagu Thittu Yakshagana Shankarardha Shareerini, Dandia, Manipuri Stick Dance, Malla Kambha, creative dance, Dollu Kunita, Kathak, Purulia Lion Dance, Thenku Thittu Yakshagana Hiranyaksha Vadhe and the like.
Entry is free for the public while seating arrangements for 8,000 people are made, Dr. Alva said. He added that the programme would start on time and urged patrons to be seated before 10 minutes of the start.
