Property buyers in Andhra Pradesh cautioned against purchasing houses / plots in unauthorised layouts. Take a look at the list of approved layouts in the official website of the Town Planning Department, advises Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Narayana.

Cautioning people against purchasing properties in unauthorised layouts, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P. Narayana has advised them to buy houses, or open plots, only from the approved layouts listed in the official website of the Town Planning Department.

Advising the property buyers to take advantage of the new rules, Mr. Narayana said, “In the Town Planning Department, the rules have been relaxed in a way that is convenient for the people. However, strict action will be taken if buildings are constructed in violation of the rules.”

In the case of ventures that had already been grounded without following the rules, the Minister said action would be taken in the next two months to prevent loss to both the builders and buyers.

Some building applications that had been pending since 2016 were approved on the spot, the Minister said, adding that he personally handed over approval letters to the applicants.

“Several workshops will be conducted for licenced surveyors to increase public awareness on the relaxed rules. Similarly, measures will be taken to spend the revenues mobilised from various types of taxes to provide amenities in the same localities,” Mr. Narayana said.
