Pritam Chakraborty will compose music for the upcoming biopic on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film, starring Rishab Shetty, will be directed by Sandeep Singh.
Well-known lyricist Prasoon Joshi has also been roped in for the project. Sandeep Singh, who has produced noted films such as Aligarh (2016), Sarabjit (2016) and PM Narendra Modi (2019), is turning director for the second time with this historical drama.
Rishab Shetty, who is currently shooting for Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel of his sensational hit Kantara, will play the 17th century emperor. The actor was last seen in his directorial Kantara, which hit the screens in September, 2022.

Rishab will also play the lead in Jai Hanuman, director Prasanth Varma’s sequel to his blockbuster Hanu-Man (2023). The movie, to be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, will go on floors soon.
