On July 28, the film’s makers informed that the first single from Ponniyin Selvan will be out on July 31. Titled Ponni Nadhi, the track featuring Karthi is finally out now.
The first single from Ponniyin Selvan, titled Ponni Nadhi is finally out now. The lyrical video of the song features Karthi, riding a horse and flaunting his perfect moves. The song has been composed and sung by AR Rahman, with lyrics by Ilango Krishnan.

On July 5, Lyca Productions, Ponniyin Selvan's production house, shared the first-look poster of Karthi as Vanthiyathevan. They wrote, "The Prince without a kingdom, the spy, the swashbuckling adventurer...here comes Vanthiyathevan! #PS1 @madrastalkies_ #ManiRatnam (sic)."
