Schools in Pondicherry will remain closed from today till further notice amid rising Covid-19 cases.
From Monday, all schools conducting offline classes for students from classes 1 to 9 will remain closed in Pondicherry amid rising Covid-19 cases in the Union Territory. Home and Education Minister A Namassivayam said that online classes will resume for students in classes 1 to 9 as holidays have been declared for these classes from January 10. All private and government schools in #Puducherry, #Karaikal, #MaHe, #Yanam will be closed from tomorrow (10/01/2022) as a precautionary measure due to the #COVID19 spread until further notice. The schools will remain closed until further orders. The Director of School Education, P T Rudra Goud, said that all the schools, including the privately managed and government-aided, will remain closed because of the surge in the number of daily cases.
