The Mumbai Police have recorded statements of the managers of actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Separately, the Crime Branch intensified its probe by recreating the sequence of events linked to the firing at Rohit Shetty's residence. This included the transportation of a scooter from Pune to Mumbai.
The reconstruction was carried out with the four accused currently in custody, namely Swapnil Sakat, Aditya Gayaki, Siddharth Yenpure, and Samarth Pomaji. Investigators retraced each stage of their alleged journey to verify key details and gather additional evidence.
The Dhurandhar actor reportedly received a threatening voice note from a person claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding money. Following this, the actor informed senior police officials, prompting further inquiries into any prior threats or possible links. The cops also recorded a statement of Shetty's manager.
Meanwhile, during the recreation, officers accompanied the accused from the point of purchasing the scooter in Pune, through their stops along the route, to the final destination outside Vile Parle station in Mumbai.
According to sources, the Crime Branch recreated every scene, from purchasing the scooter in Pune, transporting it by road to Mumbai, and the places where the accused stopped during the journey, to parking the scooter outside Vile Parle station in Mumbai.
Throughout the process, the Crime Branch team continuously interrogated the accused. Their statements were cross-checked against the reconstructed journey, with the entire exercise being recorded on video for use as evidence.
