Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that police officers who lathi-charged protesting Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir should be sacked.
Days after Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat was shot dead by terrorists in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requested the central government to do whatever it takes to make the Kashmiri Pandit community feel safe in Kashmir.
After the killing, Kashmiri Pandits took to the streets across the Valley in protest. On this, Arvind Kejriwal said, "When they protested, they were stopped with lathi-charge and tear gas. The police officers who did this should be sacked. Protesting Kashmiri Pandits should not be lathi-charged, they should be hugged."
