On May 21, PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with various ministers and officials to discuss the Class 12 board exams of CBSE, CISCE and other state boards, and also other entrance exams. The PM was briefed about the extensive consultations done with teachers and parents, and also about the options at hand for holding the board exams 2021. The PM said that the government has to make a decision taking in mind the present security of the children as well as their future prospects. He had asked to hold a high-level meeting with all states and senior ministers of GoI to take into account suggestions and ideas from the states. As per PM Modi's suggestions, the final decision will be based on widest possible consultative process and will be the best possible option keeping in mind the current situation and future prospects.
