The Congress leader was reacting to Solicitor General’s argument that divulging information on Pegasus involves national security aspect.
Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, said the Solicitor General’s reply in the during the hearing on the , that the government has information which he cannot divulge in public by way of an affidavit is a "confession" that software-spyware was used, and sought to know if it was Pegasus and for what purpose it was used.
