The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that parts of South Mumbai and eastern suburbs will face water cuts from May 24 to May 27. Check the timings and full list of affected areas here.
Parts of South Mumbai and eastern suburbs will face water cut from May 24, Tuesday to May 27, Friday from 11 am to 3 pm, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said. The Mumbai civic body said that there will be a five per cent water cut.
In an official statement, the BMC urged the citizens to keep the required stock of water on the day before the water cut.
The statement read, "The citizens of the area concerned are appealed to keep the required stock of water on the day before the water cut during the period mentioned above." (sic)
As per reports, parts of South Mumbai, including Colaba, Cuffe Parade, Bhendi Bazaar Nariman Point, Churchgate, Fort, Crawford Market, Bhendi Bazar will face disruptions in water supply.
Moreover, parts of eastern suburbs including Kurla, Tilak Nagar, Govandi, Mankhurd, and Chembur will also be affected.
Earlier, the eastern parts of the city faced a 24-hour water cut owing to micro tunneling work on May 18 and 19.
