Pallavi's live-in partner Sagnik Chakraborty was questioned by the police. He said that Pallavi was depressed as she was not getting good acting offers lately.
Although the family members of Pallavi have not registered a formal police complaint so far, her father does not believe that she committed suicide. Her family alleged that Sagnik was married and the police should thoroughly investigate this angle.
Hailing from Bengal’s Howrah, Pallavi started living in a rented flat in south Kolkata’s Garfa last month. Sagnik was the first to see her body. Pallavi’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan. Police did not find any suicide note, but the autopsy suggested suicide. No external injury was discovered.
Police started an investigation by filing a case of unnatural death.
