Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi welcomed “third-party mediation” to settle disputes with India. Qureshi and his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar are both visiting the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi welcomed “third-party mediation” to settle disputes with India, while saying that "India has always been hesitant" about the same. Qureshi is currently in the United Arab Emirates on a three-day visit. At the invitation of his counterpart, EAM @DrSJaishankar will be visiting Abu Dhabi on 18th April 2021. His discussions will focus on economic cooperation and community welfare. He said that Pakistan would appreciate anyone and everyone, including the UAE, playing a positive role in easing tensions between the two neighbours. "But ultimately, it is the people of South Asia who must decide what kind of future they visualise for themselves," he told Khaleej Times newspaper. Qureshi’s Indian counterpart, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, landed in the UAE on Sunday. The focus of his visit is bilateral economic cooperation and community welfare.
