Oxygen OS 13 arriving soon for OnePlus phone owners
India Today
OnePlus has just announced an Open Ears Forum (OEF) discussion around OxygenOS 13 on February 28.
OnePlus recently announced an OEF event on foreign forums, announcing its next-generation operating system OxygenOS 13. The news is surprising as OnePlus had announced in June 2021 the merger of OxygenOS and Oppo’s ColorOS.
Following this, OnePlus ditched the HydrogenOS in favor of ColorOS in China. Later, the global regions received the Android 12 update which effectively made the OxygenOS nothing more than a rebranded ColorOS.
Then recently a report suggested that both the companies will be ditching their operating system names and will rather go for a unified OS with one name which is rumored to be H2OOS.
However, OnePlus has now confirmed that they are working on the OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13.
The latest announcement is in regard to discussing OxygenOS 13 on the Open Ears Forum with their userbase in an effort to create the perfect OxygenOS for OnePlus smartphones. The event is scheduled for February 28 at 7:30 AM EST (6:00 PM in India).
