
Overall vehicle retail sales rise 23 per cent in June 2021: FADA

The easing of Covid-19 restrictions and pent-up demand resulted in the vehicle retail sales rising in June 2021.
The overall vehicle retail sales in India increased 22.62 per cent to 12,17,151 units in June 2021 on the back of pent-up demand and easing of Covid-19 restrictions, the latest data from FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) has revealed. The retail sales stood at 9,92,610 units in June 2020. The passenger vehicle sales rose 43.45 per cent to 1,84,134 units in June 2021 from 1,28,360 units in the same month last year. The commercial vehicle sales witnessed a massive growth of 236.19 per cent to 35,700 units in June 2021 from 10,619 units in the year-ago month.
