
Over 7 lakh candidates appear in Jharkhand board exams starting today

Jharkhand Academic Council commenced matriculation and intermediate exams from Tuesday. Over seven lakh candidates across the state are appearing, with strict SOPs and security in place.
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) board examinations commenced from Tuesday for both matriculation and intermediate students across the state.
The exams will continue till February 23, with over seven lakh candidates scheduled to appear in various centres across Jharkhand.
For the matriculation exams, a total of 4,23,821 students are registered. Meanwhile, the intermediate exams will see 3,24,321 students appearing across different streams.
Among them, 90,579 candidates belong to the science stream, 21,195 candidates are in commerce, and 2,12,557 students will appear for arts subjects.
The JAC has set up 1,232 centres across the state for matriculation exams. Intermediate examinations will be conducted at 757 exam centres.
Students and staff have been instructed to strictly follow the examination schedule, which will continue uninterrupted till February 23.
