
Over 1.56 lakh candidates to participate in TNEA counselling

Over 1.56 lakh candidates register for TNEA 2025 counselling at Anna University, deadline June 6.
More than 1.56 lakh candidates have uploaded their certificates to the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025 committee’s online portal, expressing their willingness to participate in single-window counselling for seats in colleges affiliated to Anna University for the academic year 2025-26.
As of 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 1,56,723 candidates had uploaded the relevant documents, while 2,60,921 candidates had registered overall. Among them, 1,95,654 candidates have paid the registration fees.
The last date to upload the counselling application forms is June 6.

After mandating pet dog licensing and microchipping, Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) bids to do the same for cattle to curb stray cattle issues and man-animal conflicts in the streets. The civic body has moved to make it compulsory for cattle owners to obtain licenses for their animals across all zones.
