
Husband and relative end life after woman elopes with lover in Karnataka

Tragic elopement leads to husband and uncle's suicides; woman and lover arrested for abetment in Karnataka.
The Davanagere district police have arrested a recently-wedded woman and her lover on the charge that their elopement and subsequent alleged harassment led to the death of her husband and her uncle.
The woman was identified as Saraswati.
She had married Harish (30) of Gummanur village in Davanagere taluk three months ago. The alliance was fixed by her uncle Rudresh (36), who is from Anekonda in Davanagere city.
On January 23, Saraswati allegedly eloped with a man named Kumar.
Reportedly upset over the development, her husband Harish ended his life. His body was found near a tree in the village on January 26. On hearing the news, Rudresh attempted to end his life on the same day. He passed away on January 27.
