Here’s everything that has been speculated so far about the upcoming OnePlus tablet.
It now seems that OnePlus is planning to enter the tablet market as well. The company already sells Smart TVs, audio products, and smartphones. The brand made an entry into the wearable market too in 2021 and it is now expected to launch its first tablet soon. Just a few days back, tipster Mukul Sharma claimed that the OnePlus Pad has already entered mass production and that it will arrive soon.
Now, the specifications and price of the alleged device have surfaced online. A tipster with the name Sam (Shadow_Leak) has suggested on Twitter that the OnePlus Pad will have a massive display and battery with support for fast charging. Here’s everything that has been speculated so far about the upcoming OnePlus tablet.
It is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor under the hood. It could be backed by 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is expected to ship with Android 12L out o the box. The device might pack a 10,090mAh battery. The OnePlus Pad is expected to offer support for 45W fast charging. This could be the tablet’s plus point, considering you will rarely find tablets with fast charging support.
The OnePlus Pad is also said to feature a big 12.4-inch OLED display. The previous leaks have suggested that the device’s panel has support for 120Hz refresh rate. While this one might not be the biggest screen size in the market, it seems that the company is still planning to offer a bigger display than one would expect.
Samsung recently took the wraps off its latest Galaxy Tab S8+ with the same high refresh rate display and battery unit. For those who want an even bigger screen, Samsung is selling the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with a massive 14.6-inch display, which is bigger than the 12.9-inch panel that a user is getting with Apple’s iPad Pro.
The OnePlus Pad is also tipped to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of optics, there could be a dual rear camera setup at the back of the device. The system might include a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. For selfies, the device will reportedly sport an 8-megapixel camera.
It is currently unknown when the brand plans to launch this tablet and which price range it is planning to target. The specifications suggest that the company may target the mid-range premium tablet market. The tipster suggests that the OnePlus tablet could be priced at CNY 2999, which is around Rs 35,950 in India when converted. It is important to note that OnePlus hasn’t yet confirmed the existence of any tablet, so users are advised to take all the details with a pinch of salt.
