OnePlus Nord 3 to soon launch with 150W fast charging tech: Report

A new report claims that the OnePlus Nord 3 could soon come with support for 150W fast charging. Here's everything we know so far about this smartphone.
It seems that OnePlus has set a busy launch schedule for Q2 2022 as a fresh report claims the brand is planning to launch a number of smartphones. While OnePlus has already confirmed that it will be launching the OnePlus 10 Pro in other markets in March this year, a new report claims that we could also see the launch of the OnePlus Nord 3 in the second quarter of 2022.
A report by Android Central claims that this OnePlus Nord series phone could come with support for 150W fast charging. This comes just a day after the company’s CEO Pete Lau confirmed that OnePlus will be using Oppo’s 150W SuperVOOC tech and that it will launch phones with this tech in Q2. Now, we know that this could be the Nord 3, as the cited source says that this information comes from an inside source at OnePlus.
Realme has already announced that its upcoming Realme GT Neo 3 will come with its latest 150W UltraDart fast charging tech that was recently unveiled at MWC 2022. The company claimed that this tech can top up a smartphone’s battery from zero to 100 per cent in just 15 minutes, which wouldn’t have been believable a few years back.
Interestingly, both the phones will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G chipset. Realme has confirmed that its GT Neo 3 will use the same chip. While OnePlus hasn’t confirmed the name of the phone, its CEO Pete Lau did announce on Weibo that a phone will soon make its debut with the same SoC.
Besides, Android Central also claims that the company is also planning to take the wraps off two more models in Q2 2022 and these are the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10R smartphones. The cited source further asserts that the OnePlus 10R could be backed by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. It is important to note that the brand hasn’t yet given confirmation on this, so we will have to wait to see what OnePlus is truly planning to do.
Currently, we do know that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be launching in countries like India in March. The brand didn’t announce the official launch date for the same, but we can expect the same to happen in the coming days or weeks as we inch closer to the launch event. The OnePlus 10 Pro is the company’s flagship phone that is using Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The device is currently available only in China.
