The last OnePlus smartphone to get the 'T' moniker was the OnePlus 8T, which launched in October 2020.
OnePlus has confirmed the launch of the OnePlus 10T 5G in India on August 3. The company announced the development on its social media channel and the launch event would take place in New York. That means the phone is also arriving in global markets, and the event will stream online at 7:30 PM on the launch day. The OnePlus 10T 5G is being launched just weeks after the debut of the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G.
Interestingly, the last OnePlus smartphone to get the 'T' moniker was the OnePlus 8T, which launched in October 2020. The T-series was usually the most premium smartphone for that year, and we can expect the upcoming OnePlus 10T to get notable upgrades. But it is just speculation and official information is still awaited.
If the speculation is accurate, we can expect the OnePlus 10T to retain Hasselblad-tuned cameras and 150W fast charging support. To recall, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G comes with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, while its toned-down sibling, the OnePlus 10R 5G, comes with 150W fast charging.
The OnePlus 10T has also been a part of leaks for a while, and we have an idea about the smartphone. It is reported that we will get a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a centrally-aligned hole-punch for the single selfie camera. A render by tipster OnLeaks showed the placement of the cutout at the top centre instead of top-left, which we see on most OnePlus smartphones. The render also points out that there won't be an alert-slider, which the OnePlus 10R also lacks.
Another leak points out that the OnePlus 10T will be the first OnePlus smartphone to come with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. We saw similar developments in the Android space. Brands like Asus have provided high RAM configuration with their latest ROG gaming phones.
Other key features (rumoured) of the OnePlus 10T include 4,800mAh, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS, and a 32-megapixel front camera.
In terms of pricing, we can expect the OnePlus 10T to cost over Rs 50,000 in India.
